I am formally known as Soumyendu Sarkar. I work in the area of computer and communication engineering. Currently I am with Lucent Technologies in New Jersey.

I was born and brought up in Calcutta, India. The city bursts with warmth, enthusiasm and cultural activity. I have moved on with academics and my career, and have lived in Madras, Hyderabad, Philadelphia. Now I live in Edison, NJ, close to the New York city.

I went to South Point School, Calcutta. I did my studies in Electrical Engineering at Jadavpur University, Calcutta, and Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

I have members of my extended family living in USA and often we enjoy the warm get togethers.
