On the way between Old Faithful and Madison, we had hit across the Lower Geyser basin and the Midway Geyser basin. Midway Geyser Basin has Yellowstone's largest hot springs, Grand Prismatic Spring. Its perhaps the most beautiful item in this national park.

The Lower Geyser basin features the beautiful Fountain Paint Pots. Where hot water is limited, the generated sulfuric acid dissolves the surrounding rock into fine particles of silica and clay that mix with what little water there is to form the seething and bubbling mud pots. The sights, sounds, and smells of areas like Artist and Fountain paint pots and Mud Volcano make these curious features some of the most memorable in the park.

I would like to acknowledge the National Park Service as the source of the maps presented in the web site. We are very thankful to the National Park service and its rangers for doing such a great job in  preserving the treasure chests of nature and helping us around in our quest to get familiar and enjoy these wonders.

I inherited the addiction to explore from my dad Sasabindu Sarkar. He is our inspiration and is part of most of our tours.
My maa Dipali Sarkar is still strong enough to explore the wild beauty of nature.
